ABOUT YOUR BOOK

Free 15-minute online meeting in your browser or cell phone

Fifteen-minute time slots are offered seven days each week, including evening sessions on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.

Appointments can be booked on this page, up to three days in advance. You’ll receive immediate email confirmation plus a day-ahead reminder.

There’s no need to plan an agenda, but feel free to choose among these or any writerly topic of interest:

  • Foundations of fiction: Premise and plot theme
  • Practical outlining (fiction or nonfiction)
  • Writing vs. storytelling
  • How’s your hook?
  • The perils and possibilities of an AI partnership

If you’ve made an appointment and want to introduce your current project, fill out this website’s Talking Points form. I will read it ahead of our meeting.

Ask the Editor meetings are one-on-one, using Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

If you have Microsoft Office, you may already be using Teams. If not, Zoom is popular with first-time users. Either of them is quick and simple to use.

There’s no need to install any programs. Just follow the link you’ll receive via email or in your online calendar.
